Touko Komazawa is a fifteen-year-old girl with a habit of telling grandiose lies and acting on impulse. One day, trying to impress her classmates, she claims she is dating the popular actor Atsushi Kugayama. To make the lie real, she sneaks into an audition for a television drama in which Kugayama appears. The audition is already over when she arrives, but the man who helps her, producer Kyouichi Minato, allows her to perform anyway. He sees something raw and genuine in her chaotic delivery and tells her she has the ability to turn lies into real truth. Though she fails the audition, Kyouichi challenges her to become an actress he can use.
