At the end of summer, ordinary high school student Eiji Aono witnesses his childhood friend and girlfriend, Miyuki Amada, cheating on him with Kondo, the star player of the soccer team. When he tries to confront them, Kondo sets him up and Miyuki publicly labels him a violent, abusive boyfriend. This false accusation spreads quickly through the school, isolating Eiji and subjecting him to relentless harassment and slander. With nowhere left to turn, Eiji retreats to the school rooftop, where he encounters a junior student—Ai Ichijou, said to be the most beautiful girl in the school—who is about to jump.
