It is 1994. Nakai Junpei, an otaku from the countryside, has grown used to hiding his hobby. His only outlet is drawing erotic manga of his female classmates. After high school graduation, he is accepted into a college in Tokyo, where bookstores overflow with manga. There, he discovers a university manga club filled with fellow enthusiasts and encounters a young woman who loves erotic manga as much as he does. The story follows Junpei’s coming‑of‑age as he navigates the vibrant otaku subculture of the mid‑1990s, including his first trips to Comiket, the trials of creating doujinshi, and the bonds formed within the club. The manga is a semi‑autobiographical comedy that captures the excitement and awkwardness of that era.
