Hikaru Anzai is an ordinary office lady who once lived as an ardent fan of the rock star Ronnie, a musician who died thirteen years ago. Now she has set aside that youthful obsession and is focused on her goal of marrying her elite coworker, a man named Oki, and retiring from work. But her orderly life is suddenly disrupted by a series of strange events. The spirit of Ronnie has returned, declaring himself her guardian ghost, and he has no intention of letting her settle for a life built on pretense. Ronnie takes it upon himself to shake Hikaru out of her comfortable lies and push her toward her authentic self. To make matters worse, he decides that Hikaru's true match is not Oki but another man, her friend Goro, and begins scheming to bring them together, throwing Hikaru into total confusion.

The story unfolds as a romantic horror comedy, with Ronnie's ghostly interventions causing chaos in Hikaru's professional and personal life. As she navigates his meddling, the cracks in her carefully constructed plans begin to show. In the second volume, the wedding with Oki becomes a major company event, but the couple's relationship grows colder by the day. On the morning of the ceremony, Oki vanishes. With the support of Ronnie's ghost and the steadfast presence of Goro, Hikaru is forced to confront her own desires and make a choice that will truly change her life. The story concludes with two epilogue chapters set after Hikaru leaves her job, offering a final look at the person she has become.
