Description
Countess Michelle, a sheltered noblewoman raised as a pure‑bred aristocratic young lady, discovers that her fiancé has fallen in love with her sickly younger sister. Rather than stand in the way of their happiness, she decides to disappear and start over. Disguising herself as a commoner, she flees the royal capital for a remote village, hoping to live a quiet, anonymous life. But her devoted guardian knight, Juste, refuses to let her go. He follows her into the countryside and, using his cunning and carefully laid plans, gradually traps her in a cage of overwhelming affection. What begins as a bid for freedom becomes a story of possessive love: Juste, a scheming strategist at heart, dotes on Michelle with such intensity that she finds herself unable to escape―and slowly begins to realize that his “teasing” may be exactly what she needs. The narrative unfolds as a romance of class difference, hidden identities, and the sweet captivity of a pure‑hearted lady by the one knight who has always loved her far more than she ever knew.
