Two months after moving to Tokyo for college, shy otaku Iku Kurihara discovers he has developed the ability to see ghosts. Among the spirits he glimpses, one repeatedly catches his attention: a young man who stands alone on a pedestrian bridge every night. Iku tries to ignore him, but when he is jostled on the bridge and drops a stack of doujinshi, the ghost--a friendly soul named Mimori Seo--picks up a fallen book and follows Iku home to return it. Intrigued that Iku can see him, and with nowhere else to go, Mimori effectively moves in as Iku's roommate.

Their quiet domestic life masks a painful secret. At exactly 11:45 p.m. each night, Mimori is mysteriously drawn back to the same bridge.
