Description
On a quiet back street stands a hidden bar called Rookerie, a place that accepts unusual requests in exchange for a special order spoken as the password "Olive's perch." The bar’s greatest secret is that its staff are not human—they are birds capable of taking human form, misfits who have gathered to heal people’s troubles. The owner, a mysterious figure named Ari, oversees the establishment and knows the truth behind each winged employee’s past.

The core cast includes Red, a passionate young bird who is eager to help, and Nix, a raven who initially despises human contact and behaves arrogantly. Nix comes to work at the bar as a helper during an annual visit to the previous owner’s grave, creating friction with Red and the other staff. Hart is another bird employee, whose own history slowly comes to light. The story follows these characters as they interact with a rotating set of human clients, each bringing a personal problem that the bar resolves through gentle comedy and heartfelt moments.

As the series progresses, deeper narrative arcs unfold: Ari begins shutting himself away at night for what Red suspects is dangerous work, and Red’s attempts to help are harshly rebuffed. The tension between Nix’s cold pragmatism and Red’s youthful idealism drives much of the drama. The final arc reveals the secret behind the bar’s founding and the true reasons each bird was drawn there, bringing the intertwined fates of the staff to a close. The manga balances humor, warmth, and a touch of melancholy as it explores themes of belonging, gratitude, and the quiet bonds between creatures who are neither fully animal nor fully human.
