A middle school girl named Hitomi ventures alone into the neon-drenched, decaying backstreets of Tokyo's Kabukicho district. She is searching for her older sister Yuki, who vanished without a trace one year ago. Beneath the towering landmark statue known as K-chan, Hitomi's ordinary life shatters when her cat, Chibi, suddenly speaks. Chibi delivers a cryptic command: she must find three warriors who possess special abilities in order to save her sister and prevent the world from being destroyed.

Chibi reveals that K-chan will go berserk and level the city within a year unless Hitomi can assemble the four warriors. Hitomi herself is one of them, gifted with the power to see hidden truths. As she settles into life in Kabukicho, she encounters the other warriors: a host named Kikumi, who possesses the ability to hear things beyond normal perception, and a boy named Mitsuura, who can hide things or people. Together with Chibi, the three ability users and the cat attempt a dangerous infiltration of a building where underage girls are trafficked, in order to rescue Mitsuura's younger sister Maria.

As the search for the warriors draws them deeper into the violent, morally ambiguous ecosystem of nightclubs, host bars, abandoned children, and yakuza, the true nature of Yuki's disappearance begins to surface. Hitomi learns that Kabukicho is a gathering place for lost, lonely children with nowhere else to go, and she must confront the disturbing reality of what her sister's involvement truly means. The story follows Hitomi, Kikumi, and Mitsuura as they navigate a world where dreams are distorted, desires curdle into obsession, and survival demands finding a reason to keep living in a place designed to consume the weak.
