Ayane Mitsui is a seventeen-year-old high school student whose entire life revolves around professional wrestling. She neglects her studies, skips homework, and spends every spare moment training in the hope of one day becoming a champion like her idol, the real-life women's wrestling star Manami Toyota. After failing yet another audition for the All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling circuit, Ayane is approached by Kunimitsu Tange, a sharp-eyed trainer who claims he can turn her into a champion. Desperate for a breakthrough, she agrees to train under him. But Kunimitsu's regimen is limited to punches and kicks, and when he enters Ayane in her first professional bout, she discovers the truth: the ring is not for wrestling but for kickboxing, a sport she openly despises.
