Ikumi is a schoolgirl with a crush on Takase Hiroki, the most popular boy in her class. When she gathers the courage to confess, he turns her down flat, just as he has done with every other girl. Adding to her misfortune, Ikumi's father is transferred for work, meaning her family must move away. Unwilling to give up on Hiroki and desperate to stay at her current school, she decides to board at a relative's acquaintance instead of relocating. To her shock and delight, the house she moves into belongs to Hiroki's family. Ikumi and her younger brother Haruka begin living under the same roof as the boy she loves, creating a comedic and awkward living arrangement.
