Reo, a young man who passed the entrance exam for Japan’s top university, Teito University, is forced to give up his enrollment due to personal circumstances. To make ends meet, he takes on various part-time jobs and eventually stumbles upon a tutoring advertisement offering an astonishing hourly wage of ten thousand yen. The client turns out to be Yukina Hoshi, a former hugely popular idol. Her goal is to gain admission to medical school within a single year, but her actual academic ability is shockingly below the middle school level. Reo accepts the challenge and becomes her live-in tutor, setting the stage for a comedic and heartfelt one‑year struggle.

Complicating matters, a singer who is currently taking social media by storm appears to have a past connection with Reo.
