A lone eatery stands in the remote frontier between the Demon Realm and the human Kingdom. The dishes prepared by a human known only as Master draw visitors from every race—demons, elves, succubi, princesses, and wandering knights alike—all brought together by a shared appreciation for his cooking. Each chapter revolves around a single dish, such as midnight fried eggs, mountain-vegetable tempura soba, or angel’s egg over rice, and through these meals the story explores the quiet joys and sorrows of those who pass through the small restaurant.

Master is an older man, originally from another world (likely Japan), who has run this frontier diner for decades. He is taciturn and calm, but his cooking reveals a deep understanding of his customers’ hearts. Among the recurring patrons is the Demon King, a proud but gentle ruler whom Master affectionately calls O-chan; he first visited the diner forty-five years earlier. Another key figure is Rouge, the so-called Witch of Ruin, who saved Master from a monster attack forty years ago and left a lasting impression on him. Later, a woman named Seren begins working at the diner after a personal incident; she carries herself with elegance yet shows a childlike delight when eating, and her presence adds warmth to the establishment.

The narrative unfolds in an episodic fashion, with each dish becoming a lens through which the backstories and emotions of the guests are revealed. As the series progresses, longer arcs develop: an envoy arrives to hire Master as a private chef; the Demon King is imprisoned and his aides seek help; Seren discovers a torn recipe book that hints at Master’s hidden past; and a half-demon boy named Root is entrusted to the diner by a monastery.
