Description
Ouga Vellet, the eldest son of the notorious and corrupt Vellet family, is a reincarnator. In his previous life, he was a kind-hearted man who was constantly taken advantage of, leading to his death from overwork. Now reborn into a fantasy world as a villainous noble, he swears to live his second life entirely for himself, indulging in every selfish desire he can imagine. His plan is straightforward: build a harem, eat delicious food, and live a life of idleness funded by his family's ill-gotten wealth. To achieve this, he sets out to commit acts of tyranny and exploitation. He saves a bullied commoner girl to earn her gratitude, recruits a disgraced female knight commander as a tool, and enrolls in a magic academy to gain power. Every action is calculated for his own benefit, yet the results are the exact opposite of what he intends. His "selfish" acts are perceived by those around him as profound kindness, wisdom, and generosity. The bullied girl sees him as a savior, the disgraced knight views him as a just leader, and the academy students and faculty mistake his ruthless efficiency for heroic brilliance. The more Ouga tries to act like a villain, the more he is hailed as a saint. His reputation spirals beyond his control, dragging him into political intrigue, national crises, and religious fervor he never wanted. He becomes entangled in conflicts with rival nobles, a scheming prince, and even a corrupt church, all while desperately trying to reclaim the quiet, lazy life he originally envisioned. His growing circle of allies, including the knight turned loyal retainer and the commoner girl who becomes a devoted follower, only deepens the misunderstanding. Ouga's struggle is not against external enemies but against his own growing legend, a reputation that refuses to match his true intentions.
