Spring has just begun for university freshman Riku Mikami when he learns that his favorite VTuber is going on hiatus. Disheartened, he is lifted out of his gloom by his cheerful and friendly classmate, Rui Saionji. Rui is kind and outgoing, but she carries a private dissatisfaction: she has never found anything she can truly throw herself into with passion. A search for a modeler to bring that design to life leads them to another university student — a flashy gyaru girl who turns out to be far more connected to their campus life than they expected. The narrative follows the duo as they tackle the challenges of content creation, from securing collaborators to producing Rui's first cover song video, all while navigating the blurred line between her real self and her on-screen persona.
