Description
High school student Sameda Kazuou has finally managed to shake off his embarrassing chuunibyou phase—a middle-school delusion in which he believed he possessed hidden powers and a dramatic destiny. Determined to erase every trace of that cringeworthy past, he sets out to locate and destroy all the school photos that capture his former self in full chuunibyou mode. His plan is straightforward: find the photos and bury them where no one will ever see them. But three beautiful and persistent girls in his school catch wind of his mission and develop a strong interest in those very photos. Their motives are not entirely clear, but they are willing to go to considerable lengths to get their hands on the photographic evidence of his dark history. What follows is a romantic comedy of errors as Kazuou struggles to keep his past buried while dodging the increasingly creative (and often invasive) attempts of the three girls to uncover his secrets. The story plays out in a typical Japanese high school setting, blending slapstick humor, social awkwardness, and the slow, reluctant formation of relationships. As the girls press closer, Kazuou is forced to confront not only his former delusions but also the possibility that his past might not be as easily erased as he hoped—and that these three classmates might become more entangled in his life than he ever anticipated.
