Description
Ritsu Kaido belongs to the top social tier of her high school, but she has been going through the motions in a relationship with a boyfriend she doesn’t really like, driven only by social expectations. One summer day, as she and her boyfriend are about to have their first kiss—something she feels pressured to do—the moment is witnessed and interrupted by Tsuzuri Yarai, a classmate known for her striking good looks and aloof, detached demeanor. From that point on, Tsuzuri begins to pursue Ritsu with relentless, forward advances: stealing kisses, inviting herself along, and eventually engineering a sleepover in which she shares a bath and slips into Ritsu’s futon. Although Ritsu initially protests, convinced Tsuzuri is only interested because of her face, she finds herself increasingly flustered and unable to deny her own growing attraction. The story follows Ritsu’s slow, bewildered awakening to genuine romantic feelings as Tsuzuri’s cheerful, kind, and slightly airheaded personality peels away the facade of a mere pretty face, revealing a sincere love that gradually captures Ritsu’s heart. Key narrative arcs include the fallout of the interrupted kiss, the group’s mixed reactions as their friends notice the shift, and a series of intimate get-togethers that push Ritsu to confront her true desires.
