A chaotic world ruled by evil gods provides the backdrop as the protagonist, Yuya, awakens to the sound of a girl's voice calling his name. He finds himself inside a temple of desire controlled by the evil god Liv, where countless people have been driven mad with pleasure. Despite the overwhelming sensory assault, Yuya retains his rationality, which piques Liv's interest. She binds him with special chains, but these restraints are revealed to be an ancient weapon originally designed to deprive evil beings of their power by imprisoning and subjugating them. The old god Agnes, who resides within the chains, reveals this truth to Yuya and grants him the ability to use them. Yuya begins systematically imprisoning dangerous evil gods one after another, turning their own tools of control against them.

The central conflict revolves around Yuya's mission to subdue these divine threats. After escaping the initial temple, Yuya and his companions—including the imprisoned evil god Liv—set out to find a way back to his own world. Their journey takes them across the fantastical realm, but they soon encounter a massive magical barrier descending from the sky over the city of Fiolme. This barrier traps Liv and others inside a prison space. The barrier was created by a higher-tier god who commands the citizens of various cities to select their strongest warriors through deadly combat, while also ordering the capture of a user of the chains. The true purpose behind these trials and the hunt for the chain wielder remains a central mystery.

Yuya's path brings him into contact with key figures from different city-states, including Queen Emma of Fiolme and the holy knight captain Margaret of Maka. With Liv and the initial group confined, Yuya must rely on these powerful new allies, engaging in intense confrontations with each city's strongest female warrior as he tries to uncover the master plan behind the divine interference and continue his quest to conquer the world by imprisoning its evil gods.
