Description
"Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning" is a retelling and expansion of the first two episodes of the original "Tiger & Bunny" anime series, reimagined for the big screen. Set in Stern Bild City, a metropolis where corporate-sponsored superheroes, known as NEXT, compete in a reality TV show called "Hero TV," the story centers on veteran hero Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, also known as Wild Tiger, and his new partner, Barnaby Brooks Jr., nicknamed Bunny.

Kotetsu, a seasoned but underperforming hero, is assigned to work with Barnaby, a rookie with a mysterious past and a sharp, calculating demeanor. The two clash initially due to their contrasting approaches to heroism—Kotetsu relies on instinct and experience, while Barnaby prioritizes strategy and efficiency. Despite their differences, they are forced to collaborate as part of the Hero TV program, which ranks heroes based on their performance in capturing criminals and saving civilians.

The narrative delves into their first major mission together, involving a series of bank robberies orchestrated by a group of NEXT criminals. As Kotetsu and Barnaby investigate, they uncover a deeper conspiracy tied to Ouroboros, a shadowy organization with ties to Barnaby’s tragic past. The story explores themes of justice, legacy, and the commercialization of heroism, as the duo navigates their personal struggles while striving to protect the city.

Key characters include Kotetsu, a single father grappling with his declining relevance as a hero, and Barnaby, driven by a desire for vengeance and answers about his parents' murder. Supporting heroes like Blue Rose, Rock Bison, and Fire Emblem add depth to the world, each representing different facets of the hero industry. The film balances action-packed sequences with character-driven moments, providing insight into the dynamics of the Hero TV system and the personal lives of its participants.

"Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning" serves as both an introduction for newcomers and a deeper exploration for fans, offering a cohesive narrative that sets the stage for the broader "Tiger & Bunny" universe. The film retains the core themes of partnership and redemption while expanding on the world-building and character development established in the original series.
