Guillermo Romano was the artistic name of Carlos Stevenson, a prominent Nicaraguan-born Mexican voice actor with an extensive career in Latin American dubbing. He was born in Managua, Nicaragua, on June 9, 1927, and passed away on July 30, 2018, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 91. He adopted the name Guillermo Romano when he began his career in Mexican dubbing. Romano was part of a generation of voice actors who moved to the United States when the dubbing industry expanded in Los Angeles, where he resided for many years.

Romano's voice work in anime and animated series was extensive, contributing to many titles for Spanish-language audiences. He is known for providing the voice of Mago Merlín in the series Entaku no Kishi Monogatari: Moero Arthur. He voiced the character Alien X in the OVA Roots Search. In the Magic Knight Rayearth franchise, he took on multiple roles, including the spirit Ceres and the character Lexus in the Rayearth OVA, as well as Rayearth himself in the Magic Knight Rayearth television series. He also voiced the Lion in the original dub of the anime The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Beyond these specific roles, Romano's voice was featured in a wide array of other animated series. His credits include providing the Spanish voice of Unicron in The Transformers: The Movie, various characters in the G.I.
