Haruo Satō is a Japanese voice actor born on September 19, 1961, in Tokyo, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Arts Vision and was previously associated with Office CHK.

Satō began his voice acting career later than most, making his debut in the late 1990s after leaving a corporate job to pursue his passion for performance. He enrolled in the CHK Voice Actor Center just before reaching the age limit and officially started his professional career at the age of 38.

His career spans a wide range of supporting and character roles in anime, video games, and foreign film dubbing. In television animation, Satō is known for portraying Kazuichi Inamine in Library War and its film sequel Library War: The Wings of Revolution. He voiced Sawakey, a character also known as Takukei, in the long-running historical series Kingdom. His other notable anime roles include Teillagory in Le Chevalier D'Eon, Enmael in Chaos Dragon, Taishō, the Darumaya owner, in Skip Beat!, Masahiro Mino in Gekidol, and the Adoptive Father in the film Loups=Garous The Motion Picture. In the web anime My Daemon, he voiced the character Reiji Amamiya. Additional prominent credits include饭田桥博士 (Iida Bridge Doctor) in Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo, multiple roles in the Ojamajo Doremi franchise, and appearances in long-running series such as Case Closed, Crayon Shin-chan, and Naruto Shippūden.

Beyond anime, Satō has an extensive body of work in video games. He is recognized for his roles in the Crash Bandicoot series as Emperor Velo and N. Tropy, as well as characters in the Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile franchises. He has also contributed his voice to dubbing foreign media into Japanese, providing the Japanese voice for actors such as Aziz Ansari in Master of None and appearing in dubs for films like Night at the Museum and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
