Miyu Kubota is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on January 31, 1995, in Saitama Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency 81 PRODUCE. Her path to the entertainment industry began during her senior year of high school when she passed the Anisong vocal audition, a partnership between Avex and 81 PRODUCE. This achievement led to her becoming a founding member of the idol group i☆Ris in 2012, alongside five other successful auditionees. In 2016, as part of i☆Ris, she received the Singing Award at the 10th Seiyu Awards. She later shared in another Singing Award at the 17th Seiyu Awards in 2023 as a member of the cast for Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.

Kubota's career as a voice actress began in 2013 with a small role in the anime Nyaruko: Crawling with Love. Her first major and career-defining role came in 2014 when she was cast as Sophie Hōjō in the long-running franchise PriPara. She has since built a diverse portfolio of characters across many anime series. One of her most prominent and enduring roles is Karin Asaka in the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club multimedia project, a part she has played across multiple television series, animated shorts, and films, including Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, Nijiyon Animation, and the upcoming film concluding the series. Another significant recurring role is Medusa in the Dropkick on My Devil! franchise, appearing in its various seasons and specials. In the PriPara universe, she has also voiced Sophie Hōjō across numerous television episodes, films, and specials, as well as the characters Hana and Emo Moegi in related series like Idol Time PriPara and Kiratto Pri☆Chan.
