Daran Norris is an American actor with a prolific career in voice acting, spanning over four decades and encompassing more than four hundred film, television, and video game productions. Born Daran Morrison Nordland on November 1, 1964, in Ferndale, Washington, he began his acting career in the late 1980s, appearing in commercials and live-action roles before establishing himself as a prominent voice artist in animation and anime dubs.

His work in English-dubbed anime is extensive, particularly during the late 1990s and 2000s when he frequently voiced characters for studios like Animaze Inc. and Studiopolis. He is known for the diversity of his vocal performances, ranging from sinister antagonists to comedic supporting characters. One of his notable anime roles is Vincent Volaju, the main antagonist in the film Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door. In the same franchise, he also provided voices for the characters Cowboy Andy and Morgan in the original Cowboy Bebop series. He voiced the character Mouryou in the long-running series Naruto Shippūden. His other anime credits include the role of Dark Dragon in the series Dinozaurs: The Series and the character Mario the Announcer (Alexander Lloyds) in the film Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning, a role from the larger Tiger & Bunny franchise. He also played Tasuki in the English dub of Fushigi Yûgi and Mercurymon in Digimon Frontier. His work extends to other Japanese animation, such as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

While Norris is widely recognized for his anime voice work, he is equally celebrated for his extensive contributions to Western animation. He is the voice of Cosmo, Mr. Turner, and Jorgen Von Strangle in the long-running Nickelodeon series The Fairly OddParents, a role he has played since 2001. His other prominent Western animation roles include Knock Out in Transformers: Prime, Count Spankulot in Codename: Kids Next Door, and Dick Daring in The Replacements. He has also voiced characters in the Star Wars: Clone Wars micro-series and J. Jonah Jameson in The Spectacular Spider-Man.

In addition to voice work, Norris maintains an active live-action career. He is known for his roles as Gordy the janitor on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Cliff McCormack on Veronica Mars, and Buddha Bob on Big Time Rush. He also had a recurring role as news anchor Johnny Frost on the series iZombie. Norris has been married twice. His first marriage was to voice actress Mary Elizabeth McGlynn from 1988 until their divorce in 2012. In 2021, he married actor Ray Garcia.
