Mercedes Hoyos is a Spanish voice actor and dubbing director with a career spanning over three decades. Born Mercedes Díaz Hoyos in Seville, Spain, in 1964, she initially studied journalism and worked in radio and television before entering the world of dubbing in 1989. Since 1993, she has also worked extensively as a dubbing director, leading the Spanish localization for numerous films and series. In 2013, she founded her own dubbing studio, Dasara Producciones, in Seville.

Hoyos is highly regarded for her work in anime and animated series. She is particularly known for her long-standing association with the Dragon Ball franchise. She began voicing characters in the series over twenty-five years ago and is the current Spanish voice of Videl, a role she performs in films such as Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. In addition to Videl, she voices other characters in the franchise, including Vados, Zeno, and Shu in Dragon Ball Super. Her involvement with the series deepened when she took on the role of dubbing director for the franchise, starting with the film Dragon Ball Z: La Batalla de los Dioses, and continuing with subsequent films like Dragon Ball Super: Broly and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

Beyond Dragon Ball, her anime voice credits include significant roles in critically acclaimed films. She voiced Keiko Kuromura in the Spanish dub of the award-winning historical drama In This Corner of the World. She has also contributed to other notable anime titles such as A Silent Voice and Hello World, and series like Akame ga Kill!. As a dubbing director, she has overseen the Spanish adaptations for a wide range of animated projects, including the films A Silent Voice and In This Corner of the World, as well as series like Popeye the Sailor and The Miserables.

Throughout her career, Hoyos has balanced her work in animation with dubbing for live-action, where she has been the regular Spanish voice for actresses such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jamie Lee Curtis. She is also an accomplished on-screen actress, with appearances in long-running Spanish television series like Cuéntame cómo pasó, La que se avecina, and Amar es para siempre. Her contributions to the industry are recognized through her role as vice president of the Academy of Cinema of Andalusia.
