Nolan North is an American actor widely recognized for his extensive work in voiceovers, particularly in video games and animated series. Born on October 31, 1970, in New Haven, Connecticut, he was raised in Warwick, Rhode Island. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a baseball scholarship, where he majored in journalism. Before transitioning to acting, he worked briefly as a reporter and pursued stand-up comedy in New York City. His on-screen acting career began with a role on the soap opera Port Charles in 1997, and he started focusing on voice acting after the show concluded in 2003.

In the realm of anime and animation, North has contributed his voice to a variety of English-language adaptations and series. He voices Marshall Rask in the Netflix original anime series Pacific Rim: The Black, which aired its first season in 2021 and its second in 2022. Another notable role in anime is his portrayal of the primary antagonist Marcus Octavius in the English dub of the 2007 film Highlander: The Search for Vengeance, a Japanese-animated project directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri.

Beyond these specific titles, North has an extensive filmography in Western animation that often features anime-influenced styles or are part of franchises popular in both markets. He is well known for his long-running role as Superboy, and later Superman, in the series Young Justice, appearing in multiple seasons from 2010 onward.
