Nolan North is an American actor widely recognized for his extensive work in voiceovers, particularly in video games and animated series. Born on October 31, 1970, in New Haven, Connecticut, he was raised in Warwick, Rhode Island. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a baseball scholarship, where he majored in journalism. Before transitioning to acting, he worked briefly as a reporter and pursued stand-up comedy in New York City. His on-screen acting career began with a role on the soap opera Port Charles in 1997, and he started focusing on voice acting after the show concluded in 2003.

In the realm of anime and animation, North has contributed his voice to a variety of English-language adaptations and series. He voices Marshall Rask in the Netflix original anime series Pacific Rim: The Black, which aired its first season in 2021 and its second in 2022.
