Marta Mota is a Portuguese actress and voice actress known for her work in the European Portuguese dubbing of anime and animated productions. Born on April 21, 1990, she began her artistic training at a young age, studying classical ballet from the age of three and later expanding into various dance styles and musical theater. Before establishing herself in voice acting, she performed in stage musicals, including a production of West Side Story. Her transition into dubbing began with her first major role as the voice of Patty in the Portuguese version of the Argentine telenovela O Mundo de Patty, a character she found a personal connection with through their shared love of dance and song.

Mota has built an extensive career voicing characters across numerous anime and animated series and films. In anime, she is recognized for her work in the Pokémon franchise, having voiced the character May in the series Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl and its subsequent seasons, as well as Shauna in Pokémon XY and the Pokédex in later installments. She also lent her voice to the Portuguese dub of the Studio Ghibli film Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, taking on the roles of the titular character Ponyo as well as the character Toki for the Netflix Portugal version. In the Star Wars: Visions anthology, she voiced the character Haru in the European Portuguese dub of the short The Village Bride. Her range extends to other prominent roles such as Clawdeen Wolf in the live-action Monster High films, Barbie in numerous Barbie animated features and series, Ametista in Steven Universe, and Tails in the Sonic the Hedgehog live-action film dubs.

Throughout her career, Mota has frequently collaborated with various Portuguese dubbing studios, including Cinemágica, PTSDI Media, and On Air. She has also consistently voiced characters in the Barbie and Monster High franchises, taking on roles like Barbie Roberts in multiple productions and Howleen Wolf and Toralei Stripe across several Monster High animated specials and series. A notable achievement includes her early and acclaimed work as the protagonist Patty in O Mundo de Patty, which marked her debut in the dubbing industry and established her as a recognizable voice for Portuguese audiences. Her extensive filmography reflects a prolific and sustained career as one of Portugal's prominent voice actresses in animation and live-action dubbing.
