Kanako Sakai is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Fukuoka Prefecture, born on November 11, 1986. She is a graduate of the Yoyogi Animation School's Fukuoka campus. Her career in the entertainment industry encompasses voice acting for anime and video games, as well as singing and radio hosting.

Sakai made her debut as a voice actor in 2006, with her first role being Chiaki Yoshikawa in the anime series Magikano. That same year, she gained significant attention for her first leading role as Aka Onda in the series REC, a story about a rookie voice actor, which made her debut particularly noteworthy. Her other major roles from her debut year include Ruri Fujisawa in Lovedol ~Lovely Idol~ and Kikuri in Hell Girl: Two Mirrors.

She is well-known for her long-running role as the nurse Compa in the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise, appearing in both the video games and the anime adaptation Hyperdimension Neptunia Hi☆Light. Other notable anime roles include Akari in Miracle Train - Ōedo-sen e Yōkoso and reprising her role as Kikuri in Hell Girl: Three Vessels. Her voice work also extends to video games, with roles such as Shurelia in the Ar tonelico series and Lisa Casey Foster in Memories Off: Yubikiri no Kioku.

Beyond anime, Sakai has been active as a singer, releasing a personal album titled Number in 2010. She also participated in radio programs and formed a vocal unit named Nanakana with fellow voice actress Inoue Nana. Later in her career, she expanded her activities to include stage performances. In 2015, she announced a change of her stage name to Kana Sakai.
