Hikaru Tono is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with the agency Hibiki. She was born in Tokyo on March 5, 1996. Her path to a voice-acting career began in her childhood when her father suggested she consider a voice-based profession after hearing her read her homework aloud. During her teenage years, she was an active member of her school's choir club and competed in national chorus tournaments. Before finding success, Tono spent seven years auditioning without landing a role. Her perseverance paid off in 2017 when she passed Hibiki's auditions for new voice actors, joining the agency as a trainee alongside her colleague Risa Tsumugi. Her professional debut came in 2018 with the role of Melusina Merlin in the mobile game "Triple Monsters".

Tono's career encompasses a wide range of anime television series, video games, and stage performances. In her debut year of 2018, she began securing roles in television anime such as "Future Card Buddyfight" and "Zoids Wild". A significant early role was voicing Serena in the 2019 anime series "Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale". The year 2020 saw her cast as Wang Yujia in the anime adaptation "Assault Lily Bouquet," a role she would reprise in the franchise's video game "Assault Lily Last Bullet" and several stage plays. Her involvement in multimedia franchises continued with her role as Howan in Sanrio's "Show by Rock!!" franchise, where she performed as part of the in-unit singing group Mashumairesh!!.

In the "Cardfight!! Vanguard" series, she has played multiple characters, including Misaki Tokura in "Cardfight!! Vanguard: Shinemon Arc" and the "mini vanguard" series, as well as Tomari Seto in "Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress" and its sequel "Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress". Her versatility is further demonstrated by roles such as Sura in "My Isekai Life," Eno in "I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level," Satina in "Fantasy Bishōjo Juniku Ojisan to," Suzuran in "In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki," Kaneishi in "SSSS.Dynazenon," Poppy in the net animation "The Missing 8," and Miyako Aizen in "Rebirth".
