Toshiya Miyata is a Japanese entertainer and voice actor, born on September 14, 1988, in Kanagawa Prefecture. He is a longstanding member of the popular boy band Kis-My-Ft2 under Starto Entertainment, having joined the agency in 2001 and debuted with the group in 2011. Throughout his career as an idol, he has been publicly open about his deep enthusiasm for anime and manga, a passion that would later shape his professional path.

Miyata made his formal debut as a voice actor in 2020, taking on the role of Burgess Olsen in the animated film BEM: BECOME HUMAN. To prepare for this performance, he received specialized training from the experienced voice actor Daisuke Namikawa, who became a mentor to him. This debut marked a significant turning point, allowing him to officially pursue voice acting alongside his music and acting career.

His most prominent role to date is as the lead character, Akina Myōdō, in the long-running trading card game anime series. He began voicing Akina in the 2024 series Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ and has continued the role in its subsequent sequels, including Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Season 2 and Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Deluxe-hen. His casting as the protagonist was notable and was publicly discussed by the president of Bushiroad, the franchise's parent company. The president cited Miyata's well-known dedication as an anime fan, including a story of him waiting for hours at a Love Live! event, as a key reason for his selection, leading to a collaboration that Miyata himself has said he was grateful for.

In addition to these central roles, Miyata voiced the character Black Hole in the 2024 iteration of the classic franchise Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc. His other voice work includes supporting roles in the 2024 anime series The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest, as the character Hansom, and in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun season two. He also contributed a voice role to the popular series BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! in 2023.
