Hugo Nuñez is a Mexican voice actor and dubbing director with a career spanning several decades, recognized for his work in the Latin American Spanish dubs of numerous anime series and films. He began his career as an actor in 1988 before entering the dubbing industry in 2003. He has also served as a dubbing director on various projects, including the Latin American dubs of the anime series Aggretsuko and Ghost Hound, and the film When Marnie Was There.

Nuñez has provided voices for a wide range of anime characters. He is known for his role as L in the series Death Note. His other notable anime credits include Komiya in Aggretsuko, Yōhei Umino in A Couple of Cuckoos, Kiyomasa Ōiwa in the Studio Ghibli film When Marnie Was There, Agashi in Origin Spirits of the Past, Luka Redgrave in Bayonetta Bloody Fate, Plum Shuttery in Holy Knight, Laito Sakamaki in Diabolik Lovers, and multiple characters across the Inazuma Eleven, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and Pokémon Diamond and Pearl series. He has also voiced roles in Fairy Tail, Saint Seiya Omega, and Summer Wars.

In addition to his anime work, Nuñez is widely recognized as the voice of Nelson Muntz in the Latin American Spanish dub of The Simpsons from seasons 17 through 26. He has also voiced characters in western animated series such as Chaotic and Johnny Test.

Nuñez has frequently collaborated with various dubbing studios in Mexico, including Art Sound México and AF Dubbing House. He directed the Latin American dubs for the first three seasons of the Netflix series Aggretsuko, also voicing the character Komiya in those seasons before being replaced in both roles for the fourth season. His other directing credits include the anime series Sword Gai The Animation and the film Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.
