Hidehiro Kikuchi

Description
Hidehiro Kikuchi is a Japanese voice actor from Tokyo, born on May 11, 1971. He began his career in entertainment as a child actor, an interest he developed during elementary school after being encouraged to observe lessons at a child acting troupe. He formally joined the troupe Group Komadori, which marked the start of his professional career.

His first regular role in a television anime came in 1983 when he was cast as Fred Shuffle in the series Ginga Hyōryū Vifam. He was still in elementary school at the time and experienced his voice changing during the show's production, an event that can be heard in the character's vocal progression throughout the series. This role was a significant early achievement and established him in the industry.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Kikuchi was active in anime, providing voices for a wide range of characters. His roles from this period include Jordy Border in Panzer World Galient, Asunaro Enoki in Meimon! Daisan Yakyū-bu, and Ran in Green Legend Ran. He also voiced Shun Hyoudou in the Ganbare! Kickers special Hitoribocchi no Ace Striker, Miller in Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! WGP, and Nozomu Kanou in Nurse Angel Ririka SOS. His film work during this time included roles in Gall Force: Eternal Story and Robot Carnival.

In the early 2000s, Kikuchi took on the role of Hiroto Honda in the long-running series Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, becoming the second voice actor for the character. He would later reprise this role for the 2016 theatrical film Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions.

Beyond anime, Kikuchi had an extensive career in voice dubbing for Western films and television dramas. He provided the Japanese voice for characters such as Brand in The Goonies and Daniel Latimer in Melody. His work also extended to video games, including titles in the Atelier series and Super Robot Wars, as well as commercials and attractions at Tokyo Disneyland.

Kikuchi was affiliated with Group Komadori and Production Tokyo Drama House before working as a freelancer. He has since stepped back from regular activity in the voice acting industry.
