Madoka Kimura

Description
Madoka Kimura is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on January 28, 1980, in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of the 15th term of the Visual Space voice actor training school. Her career began in the early 2000s, and she has been active in television animation, original video animations, and theatrical films.

Kimura made her debut as a voice actress in 2003 with a role in the television anime series Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch. Her early career included a variety of roles, such as in the series Futakoi and Night Head Genesis. In 2005, she became a member of the voice acting unit Aice5, alongside fellow voice actresses Akemi Kanda, Masumi Asano, Chiaki Takahashi, and Yui Horie, with whom she performed until the group's initial disbandment in 2007.

Kimura is perhaps best known for her long-standing role as Yūna Akashi in the extensive Mahō Sensei Negima! franchise. She first voiced the character in the 2005 television anime adaptation and continued in the role across subsequent TV series, original video animations, and the 2011 theatrical film Mahō Sensei Negima! Anime Final. Her work in this long-running series led to frequent collaborations with many of her co-stars, including Rina Satō, Akemi Kanda, and Natsuko Kuwata. Another notable role from this period was providing the singing voice for the character Latias in the Pokémon film Pokémon Heroes.

Following her time with the agency Production Baobab, which she left in July 2010, Kimura worked as a freelance voice actress for several years. During this period, her on-screen roles became less frequent, leading to speculation about her continued involvement in the industry. Her career saw a notable revival in 2015, a year that marked her return to regular work. In April 2015, she signed with the agency Kakehi Production. That same year, she was cast in a prominent role as a fictionalized version of herself in the television anime series That is a Voice Actor!, which also coincided with the reunion and reactivation of her former singing unit, Aice5. This role highlighted her real-life experiences in the voice acting industry.
