Michael Dobson

Michael Dobson is a British-born Canadian voice actor and voice director, recognized for his extensive work in anime dubbing and Western animation. He was born in London, England, on August 12, 1966, and is the eldest of three brothers, all of whom are prominent voice actors in the Vancouver, British Columbia, voice acting community. He became a Canadian citizen in 1992.
Dobson's career in voice acting began in the early 1990s, and he has since become a staple of the industry, working extensively with Ocean Productions. His voice is frequently heard in English adaptations of popular anime series. He is perhaps best known for his long-running association with the Transformers franchise, where he provided the voice of the treacherous Starscream across the Unicron Trilogy, which includes Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, and Transformers: Cybertron. In Transformers: Cybertron, he also voiced the character Brakedown.
His other notable anime roles are numerous and span a wide variety of series. He voiced Dekim Barton in the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz Special Edition. In the anime adaptation Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z, he took on the role of the villainous Mojo Jojo. He voiced Pops Racer in an early English-language pilot for Speed Racer X and portrayed Masami Fudou in the OVA Dog Soldier: Shadows of the Past. His film work includes the lead role of Kazuki Fuse in the critically acclaimed movie Jin-Roh - The Wolf Brigade. He also provided voices for characters like Ganache in Trouble Chocolate, Kei Marume in a pilot for The Ultraman, and Inspector Bark in Ultraviolet: Code 044.
