Ainosuke Kataoka
Description
Ainosuke Kataoka is a Japanese actor primarily known for his work in kabuki theater and live-action film and television, with a small number of credits in anime voice acting. He is the sixth generation kabuki actor to hold the name Ainosuke Kataoka. Born on March 4, 1972, in Sakai, Osaka, he began his entertainment career as a child actor at the age of five before formally entering the world of kabuki. Kataoka made his voice acting debut in the 2014 animated film Yo-kai Watch: Tanjō no Himitsu da Nyan!, where he voiced the character Ubaune. Ubaune, known in English as Dame Dedtime, serves as the primary antagonist in the film. He subsequently took on the role of the narrator for the 2018 television anime series We Rent Tsukumogami. This series provided Kataoka with his first recurring role within an anime television production. His anime voice roles appear to be occasional credits within a broader, long-standing career focused on stage and screen performance in Japan.
