Tony Beck

Description
Tony Beck is a Belgian actor primarily known for his work in French-language dubbing for animated series and films. Born on November 28, 1965, he began his career in the 1990s with various television roles before moving into voice acting, often through the Brussels-based studio Chinkel. In addition to his voice work, he is also active as a commercial presenter and corporate trainer.

Beck has lent his voice to a wide array of characters in anime and Western animation. He is perhaps best known for being the first French voice of Roronoa Zoro in the long-running series One Piece, a role he performed from the series' beginning up through the Skypiea arc. His other prominent anime roles include Gaara in Naruto and its sequels, Keroro in Sgt. Keroro, Shawn Frost in Inazuma Eleven, and Itsuki Takeuchi in Initial D. He also voiced numerous characters across the various Yu-Gi-Oh! series, including Sayer in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, IV in Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, and the villain Paradox in the film Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time. In the anime adaptation of the video game Viewtiful Joe, he provided the voice for the character Alastor.

Beyond anime, his voice is recognizable in many Western animated productions. He voiced Richard Watterson in The Amazing World of Gumball, Benson in Regular Show, Timmy in Winx Club, and John F. Kennedy in Clone High. His work also extends to video games, such as voicing Stan Marsh in the French version of South Park: The Stick of Truth. While he has largely stepped away from his role as Zoro, he briefly returned to the world of One Piece to voice the character Trebol starting in 2015. Beck maintains a low public profile and generally does not give interviews.
