Description
Paradox emerged among humanity's last survivors in a dystopian future ravaged by the Meklord Emperor genocide. Alongside Z-one, Antinomy, and Aporia, he participated in experiments to avert the apocalypse, including granting Z-one eternal life through a life support system. Paradox eventually succumbed to natural causes, leaving Z-one alone.

Z-one later constructed an android replica of Paradox's younger self, implanted with the original's memories and hatred for Duel Monsters—the game he blamed for humanity's downfall. Equipped with a specialized Duel Runner for time travel, this android Paradox was dispatched to assassinate Maximillion Pegasus before he could create Duel Monsters. Paradox deliberately chose to strike during a high-profile tournament in Domino City, aiming to publicly link the game to tragedy and ensure its historical rejection.

Executing his mission across timelines, Paradox first arrived in Yusei Fudo's era, hijacking a Turbo Duel to seal Stardust Dragon into a corrupted card. He then traveled to Jaden Yuki's time in Venice, deploying stolen monsters like Cyber End Dragon and Rainbow Dragon against Jaden. Finally, he reached Yugi Muto's era, unleashing his corrupted monsters to destroy Pegasus' tournament. The assault killed Pegasus, Solomon Muto, and numerous bystanders; Yugi alone survived.

Pursuing him through time via the Crimson Dragon's power, Yusei and Jaden arrived in Yugi's timeline and recruited him. The trio confronted Paradox 30 minutes before his attack. Paradox disclosed his origins and motives, dismissing the erasure of Duel Monsters-related history as "insignificant sacrifices," then accepted their 3-on-1 duel challenge.

Paradox wielded a "Malefic" Deck featuring corrupted versions of monsters he had stolen, including Stardust Dragon and Cyber End Dragon. His strategy revolved around the Field Spell "Malefic World," which replaced his draws with Malefic monster searches. He summoned "Malefic Truth Dragon" and fused with it to gain overwhelming power. Yugi, Jaden, and Yusei combined their signature monsters' abilities to destroy Malefic Truth Dragon and win. Paradox disintegrated upon defeat, his final moments clouded by doubt about his mission's validity.

Beyond dueling, Paradox's Duel Runner enabled time-space travel and flight transformations. He could physically manifest monsters for destruction, seal monsters into blank cards to create Malefic variants, and merge with Malefic Truth Dragon for combat enhancement.

Z-one later referenced Paradox while explaining his motives to Yusei, confirming he sent the android to the past and acknowledging Paradox, Antinomy, and Aporia as cherished comrades who formed his "family."

Paradox's actions triggered a delayed temporal ripple that fragmented reality. His defeat restored the timeline, preserving Duel Monsters and its history. His character embodied a self-contradicting ideology—using the game he loathed to erase itself—mirroring the paradox of his name. His arc concluded with the thematic affirmation that bonds across time could overcome deterministic views of the future.
