Mario Bombardieri is an accomplished Italian voice actor known for his deep and powerful voice, which he has lent to a wide array of characters in animated films, television series, and live-action dubs. He was born on September 30, 1959. Beyond animation, he is recognized as a principal Italian voice for actors such as Michael Clarke Duncan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone.

In the realm of anime and animated features, Bombardieri is perhaps most widely recognized for his long-standing association with the character Broly from the Dragon Ball franchise. He first voiced the legendary Super Saiyan in the initial Italian dubs of the classic Dragon Ball Z films, including Dragon Ball Z: The Super Saiyan of Legend, Dragon Ball Z: Challenge to the Legend, and Dragon Ball Z: The Diehard Bio-Fighter. He later returned to the role for the character's canonical reintroduction in the 2018 feature film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, providing continuity for fans of the series.

Another significant anime role for Bombardieri is Gensai in the Lupin III franchise. He voiced the character in the television special Lupin III: Dragon of Doom, also known as Lupin III: Spada Zantetsu, infuocati. His performance was retained in both the initial television broadcast and the subsequent DVD re-dub of the film. He also voiced the character Raizuly in another Lupin III special, Lupin III: The Nostradamus Prophecies.

In the 2019 theatrical film Promare from Studio Trigger, Bombardieri voiced the character Vulcan Haestus, the captain of the ruthless Freeze Force police squad. This production saw him work alongside other notable Italian voice actors such as Andrea Ward and Alessio Puccio.

His extensive body of work in animation also includes being one of the primary Italian voices for the character Barney Gumble in the long-running series The Simpsons for several seasons. He has also contributed his voice to a vast number of other shows and films, including various roles in Family Guy, Futurama, Shrek 2 and its sequels as the character Doris, Monsters University as Bruiser Big Red, and the Angry Birds films as Terence.
