Massimo Rossi is an Italian voice actor, born on December 3, 1955, who has built a prolific career spanning both animation and live-action dubbing. He is part of a family deeply rooted in the dubbing profession, with his siblings Riccardo Rossi and Emanuela Rossi, as well as his cousins Fabio Boccanera and Laura Boccanera, also being well-known voice actors.

Rossi began his career in voice acting at a young age and became particularly prominent for his work in Japanese anime during the 1970s and 1980s, often being cast in leading roles. He is the Italian voice for a vast array of iconic anime characters. Among his most noted roles are Hayato Jin in both Getter Robo and Getter Robo G, Joe Shimamura (009) in Cyborg 009, and Goemon Ishikawa in Lupin III Part II. He also provided the first Italian voice for Char Aznable in the initial dub of Mobile Suit Gundam. In the anime series Ryu, the Cave Boy, he voiced the titular protagonist, Ryu. His portrayal of the romantic lead André Grandier in both The Rose of Versailles television series and the film The Rose of Versailles: I'll Love You As Long As I Live is particularly celebrated and is considered a definitive performance by many Italian fans of the series. In the Captain Harlock franchise, he voiced the character Tadashi Daiba across the television series, the film Captain Harlock: Mystery of the Arcadia, and the movie Galaxy Express 999. His other prominent anime credits include the role of Professor Go in Giant Robo and Ross Sylibus in the Armitage III OVAs and the film Armitage: Dual-Matrix.

His extensive live-action work includes voicing characters like Rorschach in Watchmen, General Grievous in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight, and Jack Bauer in the television series 24. In the realm of Western animation, he is known for voicing Puss in Boots in the Shrek films, Tarzan in Disney's Tarzan, and Ralph in Wreck-It Ralph.
