Hanns Jörg Krumpholz is a German actor and voice artist, recognized for his extensive work in theater, television, and as a prolific voice actor for film, radio dramas, and anime. He was born in Bonn in 1962. From 1984 to 1988, he trained at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. Following his training, Krumpholz embarked on a nearly thirty-year career on stage, performing at major theaters across Germany and Switzerland, including the Schauspielhaus Zurich, Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspiel Frankfurt, and the Staatstheater Wiesbaden. His repertoire included classic roles such as Hamlet, Nathan, and Mackie Messer. In addition to his stage work, he has appeared in numerous German television productions, with credits including Tatort, Polizeiruf 110, Großstadtrevier, and SOKO Wismar.

In the realm of anime and animation, Krumpholz has become a familiar voice to German audiences, lending his voice to a wide array of characters. He voices Kazuo Yamashita, the protagonist's father figure, in the Netflix anime series Kengan Ashura, a role he reprised for the crossover film Baki Hanma vs. Kengan Ashura. He is also the voice of Professor Lyman Banner in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D film Bonds Beyond Time. His other notable anime roles include Masakazu Meguro in Doreiku The Animation, Koharu's Father in Hi Score Girl, and Takahito Misumi in the film Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather.
