Nozomi Nishida is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Gifu Prefecture, born on July 22, 1990. Before beginning her voice acting career, she performed as an idol in Akihabara under the name Nozomi Kayata. Her interest in performance began early, and during high school, she studied in Denmark for one year, an experience influenced by her love for European children's literature. She decided to pursue voice acting after watching the anime series Clannad during her second year of university, which moved her deeply and changed her career path.

Nishida made her voice acting debut in 2014 with a small role in the anime Invaders of the Rokujouma!?. Her first major and breakthrough role came in 2016 when she was cast as Makina Nakajima in the anime series Macross Delta. This role was significant not only as her first main character but also because she became a member of the in-series music group Walküre, performing songs for the franchise as a real-life singer. Her involvement with Walküre has been a central part of her career, leading to live performances and appearances in Macross film projects.

Following her success in Macross Delta, Nishida continued to build her career with a variety of roles. She has played characters including Satori Tamaba in Armed Girl's Machiavellism, Tsubasa Arihara in the mixed-media project Hachigatsu no Cinderella Nine and its subsequent anime adaptation, and Kuroha Shirokita in Re:Stage! Dream Days. Her other anime roles include Rushie Suginami in Doreiku, Farin in The Silver Guardian 2, Yakumaru in A Certain Scientific Accelerator and Itsuki Yakumaru in A Certain Scientific Railgun T, and Nana Nekozawa in Wixoss Diva(A)Live. She also voiced Claudia Asterio in The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made.

Beyond anime, Nishida has lent her voice to numerous video games, such as Arknights, Langrisser Mobile, and War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. In 2020, she expanded her musical career beyond Walküre by making her solo debut with the mini-album Onna no Ko wa Dejlig. Throughout her career, she has been affiliated with several talent agencies, including Atomic Monkey and Mausu Promotion.
