Minna Bernales

Minna Bernales, also known as Carmina Nicolas Bernales, was a Filipino voice artist and dubbing supervisor known for her extensive work in the Philippine anime and film dubbing industries. Her career spanned work for two of the major television networks in the Philippines. In addition to her voice work, she also wrote scripts for anime shows and Korean dramas.

Bernales provided the Filipino (Tagalog) voices for numerous characters in a wide range of anime series. In the series Kaze no Naka no Shoujo Kinpatsu no Jeanie, she voiced the character Angela MacDowell, as well as Helen Smith, Hilary, Sandra, and Sister Conrad. Among her other prominent roles were Asuka Langley Sohryu in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Artemis in various iterations of Sailor Moon, and Haruka Tenoh/Sailor Uranus in later Sailor Moon series. She also voiced Chihiro Kitagawa in Hoop Days, multiple characters in Kiba including Despara and Sarah, Ma'am Pilar in the Filipino dub of Shin chan, and Batchee in Mon Colle Knights.

Beyond her work in animation, Bernales was also active in dubbing for live-action films, working with Regal Entertainment. She served as a dubber and dubbing supervisor on several Filipino films from 2008 to 2010, including You to Me Are Everything, Nobody, Nobody But Juan, Tarot, and Shake Rattle & Roll X. Her colleagues noted her talent for sounding like the original actresses of the characters she dubbed. Minna Bernales passed away in 2010.
