Riho Iida is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and singer born on October 26, 1991, in Saitama Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Houeishinsha and is also known by her nickname, Rippi. Her career in entertainment began at a young age; she first gained public attention in 2002 as a regular performer, or "TV warrior," on the long-running NHK Educational TV children's program Tensai Terebikun MAX. Prior to this, she had also worked as a child model.
Iida's career as a voice actress is most famously defined by her role as Rin Hoshizora in the massively popular multimedia project Love Live! School Idol Project. She voiced the character from the franchise's initial anime series in 2013, through its 2015 film Love Live! The School Idol Movie, and in various related video games such as Love Live! School Idol Festival. The immense success of Love Live! significantly raised her profile. As part of the project's main cast, she was a member of the subgroup lily white and, along with her fellow cast members, was a recipient of the 9th Seiyu Awards for Best Singing in 2015.
Beyond Love Live!, Iida has built a diverse portfolio of anime roles. In 2018, she voiced Shizuka Shishi in the romantic comedy Boarding School Juliet, for which she also performed the ending theme song Itsuka Sekai ga Kawaru Made. She has had recurring roles in multiple installments of the Dropkick on My Devil! franchise, voicing the character Persephone II. Another notable recurring role is that of Shirakawa, also known as Miho Shirakawa, in the critically acclaimed mystery series Odd Taxi and its 2022 compilation film, Odd Taxi: In the Woods. Her other voice roles include Akira Tōdō in World's End Harem (2022), Elise in King's Raid: Successors of the Will (2020-2021), Ruka Sovagasky in Venus Project: Climax (2015), and Veronica Borowczyk in ēlDLIVE (2017). She has also been involved in web anime, such as voicing Aki Miyashita, the human form of the monster Agira, in Kaiju Girls. Additionally, she provided the voice for Yunbo in the short-form anime Buppu na Mainichi.
