Rina Hon'izumi is a Japanese voice actress born on February 4, 1993, in Fukushima Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce. Her interest in becoming a voice actor developed during her high school years, leading her to enroll at the Tokyo Animation College, from which she graduated in March 2013. She began her professional career the same year, initially taking on minor and supporting roles in various anime television series and games.
Her first major breakthrough came in 2017 when she was cast as the lead character Nano Saikawa in the television series Omiai no Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyoki na, Mondaiji. However, her role as Saaya Yakushiji, also known as Cure Ange, in the 2018 popular magical girl franchise entry Hugtto! Precure significantly raised her profile. She reprised this role in several Precure theatrical films, including Pretty Cure Super Stars!, Hugtto! Precure ♡ Futari wa Precure All Stars Memories, and Precure Miracle Universe.
Following her success in Precure, Hon'izumi has been cast in a wide variety of prominent anime roles. These include Sicily von Claude in Wise Man's Grandchild, Hina in Plunderer, Shiragiku Ōmura in Tamayomi: The Baseball Girls, Rei Aragaki in The Gymnastics Samurai, Toko Aoki in Let's Make a Mug Too, and Viluy in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal Season III. She has also taken on significant roles in popular video games, such as Shizuku Hinomori in the mobile game Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! and Nelke von Luchetam in Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World.
In addition to her animation work, Hon'izumi has contributed to foreign language dubbing, providing the Japanese voice for the character Cheedo the Fragile in the film Mad Max: Fury Road.
