Ayano Matsumoto is a Japanese voice actress born on February 4, 1988, in Aomori Prefecture and raised in Gunma Prefecture. She is professionally known by her stage name, Ayano Niina, which she adopted in June 2008. She is affiliated with the agency VIMS. Her career began in 2004 after training at the Artsvision-affiliated Japan Narration Acting Institute.

Her debut role was as Kurenai Mishina, also known as Musume Red, in the 2004 television anime series Shooting Starlets Musumet. This role marked the start of her professional voice acting career. Following her debut, she took on other notable roles in the mid-2000s, including Mako in Oroshitate Musical Nerima Daikon Brothers and Yukari Kamioka in Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru, both in 2006. Her work in video games is also a significant part of her filmography, with credits including远峯莉莉丝 in Memories Off 6: T-wave and 天咲 in Ryu-Koku. She has also voiced characters in other game titles such as the Chaos Rings series, 11eyes, and Azur Lane.

While much of her early career was associated with the name Ayano Matsumoto, she has continued to work as Ayano Niina, with roles in later years such as Kanako Watanabe in Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto (2010) and Ayaka Nishimine in Go! Princess PreCure (2015). Beyond anime and games, her professional activities have included hosting roles, such as serving as a navigator for the Satellite Anime Theater program on NHK BS2 in 2005 and appearing in the Star Bowling series on AT-X. She is a member of VIMS, the agency under which she continues her career in the voice acting industry.
