Michaela Kametz is a German actress and voice artist, born in Munich in 1959. Her career began in theater during her school years, with her first official role at the Theater in der Briennerstraße. She was engaged at the Fränkische Landestheater in 1980 and later spent a year in New York studying dance and musical theater. Since 1986, she has worked as a freelance performer, appearing on various stages including the Grenzlandtheater Aachen, the Landestheater Schleswig-Holstein, and the Comödie an der Ruhr.

In addition to her stage work, Kametz has built a substantial career in voice acting, lending her voice to numerous films, television series, and video games for the German market. Her work spans a wide variety of genres, including anime, where she is known for dubbing characters in many popular series. She has also been active as a station voice for television channels such as RTL, VOX, WDR, and Arte.

Kametz has provided the German voice for a diverse range of anime characters. One of her notable roles is the Executioner Boss in the series Akudama Drive. Another key role is Lizzie Garland in Phantom - The Animation. Her extensive filmography also includes the role of Rem in Death Note, the Chimera Ant Queen in Hunter x Hunter, Dietlinde Eckart in Fullmetal Alchemist – The Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa, and Miki Shiba in The Devil Is a Part-Timer!. Further anime credits feature characters in series such as Blue Exorcist, Citrus, Food Wars! The Third Plate, Last Exile, Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, Overlord, Scrapped Princess, and Space Dandy, among many others. Beyond anime, her voice work extends to video games, including the German versions of Grim Fandango, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and X-Wing Alliance.
