Marie Downing is an American voice actress known for her work in English dubs of anime series during the late 1990s and early 2000s. This name is one of several pseudonyms used by Emilie Brown, who also performed under the names Emily Brown and Mary Cobb. She began her career in voice acting at a young age, with one of her earliest roles being Annie Labelle in the iconic series Robotech in 1985, for which she was credited as Mary Cobb.
Brown’s body of work from this period features a number of prominent roles in dubbed anime. As Marie Downing, she is credited with voicing Kotoko in the series The Legend of Black Heaven. Her other notable credits from this era include playing Jessie Gurtlant in Battle Athletes Victory, credited under the Marie Downing name, and Qawool Towles in El Hazard: The Alternative World.
