Christian Rudolf is a German actor and voice artist, born on March 9, 1965, in Rathenow, Germany. His career is built upon a foundation of formal training and extensive experience in both performance and music. From 1986 to 1990, he studied singing and acting at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin. This education complemented his early start as a musician; he had been performing with various bands since 1981 and, as of 2017, had taken part in over 1,500 concerts and shows. His musical theatre work earned him recognition, including the first prize from IG Medien at the German Musical Congress in 1997 for a leading role. He has lived in Hamburg since 1989.

Rudolf is widely recognized for his voice work in German dubs of anime and animated series. He is notably the German voice of the character Doppo Kunikida in the long-running series Bungo Stray Dogs, a role he has performed since the show began in 2016, including in the film Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple. Another prominent role is providing the German voice for the character Taizou Hasegawa across the Gintama anime series and its films. His work in the medium also includes roles in major franchises such as Naruto, where he voices Ebisu in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, and Kizashi Haruno in Naruto Shippuden and the film Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie. One of his most iconic voice roles from earlier in his career is the lead character Tsubasa Ozora in the classic soccer anime Captain Tsubasa, known in Germany as Die tollen Fußballstars.

Beyond anime, Rudolf has an extensive portfolio as a dubbing artist for live-action film and television. He is the German voice for several actors, including J. August Richards as Charles Gunn in the series Angel – Jäger der Finsternis, and for Fumihiko Tachiki in various projects. His dubbing work also spans films such as providing a voice for Robert Downey Jr. in the DVD version of Natural Born Killers. In addition to voice acting, Rudolf is a familiar face to German television audiences through his on-screen roles in numerous popular series. These include recurring and guest appearances in long-running shows like Lindenstraße, Sturm der Liebe, Rote Rosen, and Verbotene Liebe. He also works as a narrator for documentaries, a moderator for major events, and a speaker for commercials and radio programs.
