She is affiliated with the talent agency ARTSVISION and the record label NBCUniversal. After graduating from the Japan Narration Acting Institute, she joined ARTSVISION in 2010 and made her voice acting debut in 2011 with a role in the theatrical anime film "Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth".

Yamazaki is known for her ability to portray a wide range of characters, from energetic young girls to mature women and even young boys. One of her most prominent and long-running roles is as Mirai Kasuga in the "The Idolm@ster Million Live!" franchise, a role she began in 2013. In this series, her character is positioned as a center, and Yamazaki herself is a dedicated fan of the larger "Idolm@ster" series.

Beyond this flagship role, she has built an extensive list of television anime credits. Among her notable roles are those mentioned in the query: she voices the titular cat Haru in the 2019 slice-of-life series "My Roommate is a Cat", Nariki in "Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON", Sarina Shizukume in the 2018 psychological horror series "Magical Girl Site", and Mariko Kobayashi in the "Monster Strike the Animation" web series. In addition to her voice acting career, Yamazaki made her debut as a solo singer in February 2018. Her musical work is closely tied to her acting, as she has performed character songs for many of her roles and theme songs for series in which she appears. For instance, she performed the ending theme song for the "Magical Girl Site" anime, in which she also voiced a main character.

Throughout her career, Yamazaki has frequently collaborated with fellow voice actors, including those in the "The Idolm@ster" franchise such as Machico, Azusa Tadokoro, and Azumi Waki, with whom she has a close friendship. She has also participated in stage plays and other live events related to her anime and game projects. In 2023, she announced her marriage to a drummer known as SHiN.
