Kiyonobu Suzuki is a veteran Japanese voice actor born on November 20, 1950, in Niigata, Niigata. He began his career in 1970 and is affiliated with the talent management firm 81 Produce. With a career spanning over five decades, Suzuki has built an extensive filmography, becoming a recognizable voice in Japanese animation.

Suzuki is perhaps best known for his long-standing role as Hayato Kobayashi in the iconic Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. He first voiced the character in the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam television series and subsequently reprised the role in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, and the compilation Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy. This character remains one of his most prominent and enduring credits.

His career includes a wide variety of roles across different eras and genres. In the 1979 mecha series Gordian Warrior, he provided the voice for the character Dalf. More recently, in the 2020 fantasy anime Drifting Dragons, Suzuki voiced the character Ura, an old and experienced partner on a dragon-hunting airship. He also took on the role of the grandfather in the 2017 revival of the Sylvanian Families: Mini Story anime series.

In addition to these, his filmography includes the role of Osore in the fifth series of GeGeGe no Kitarō in 2008, and Takashi Ariyama in the 1988 anime film Hiatari Ryōkō! Yume no Naka ni Kimi ga Ita. Throughout his long career, Suzuki has taken on many other supporting roles in major productions, such as in Gintama (as Murata Jintetsu), Paranoia Agent (as Shinsuke Hatomura), Pokémon (as a Gengar), and numerous others.

Beyond anime, Suzuki's work extends to dubbing foreign films and television series for a Japanese audience. Notable dubbing credits include providing the Japanese voice for the character Zed in Police Academy and for Duck in the long-running children's series Thomas and Friends.
