Mauro Gravina is an Italian voice actor born in Rome on April 15, 1957, widely recognized for his extensive work dubbing anime and Western animated series into Italian. He comes from a family deeply involved in the dubbing industry; he is the brother of voice actress Monica Gravina, the husband of voice actress Antonella Rinaldi, and the father of voice actress Benedetta Gravina.
Gravina's career encompasses a vast array of roles in Japanese animation. He has voiced characters in several foundational and popular series, including Tem Ray, the father of protagonist Amuro Ray, in the various installments of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, such as the movie trilogy and The Origin. He is also the Italian voice of Jerid Messa in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and its film compilations. Another significant early role was as Dee Laytner in the 1996 anime adaptation of the manga Fake.
His film work in anime includes providing the voice of Fiore, one of the comedic animal sidekicks, in the 1981 Toei Animation film Swan Lake. He voiced Barry, the elder brother of the wolf Gabu, in the 2005 movie Arashi no Yoru ni. He also played Danbei Makino in the 1975 movie Uchuu Enban Dai-Sensou, a pilot film for the series Grendizer.
