Elmar Gutmann is a German actor, musician, and voice actor, recognized for his distinctive bass voice and extensive work in dubbing anime and live-action productions for the German market. Born on January 14, 1952, in Staufen im Breisgau, he trained at the Fritz Kirchhoff School of Acting in Berlin from 1973 to 1976. His career is deeply rooted in Berlin's performing arts scene, with years of stage experience at theaters such as the Theatermanufaktur and the GRIPS-Theater. In addition to his acting work, Gutmann was a long-standing member of the world music band 17 Hippies for nearly 24 years, performing on trumpet in over a thousand concerts globally.

Gutmann's voice is familiar to German anime fans through a variety of prominent and supporting roles. He is well-known for voicing the seasoned and hedonistic Commander Dot Pixis in the German adaptation of the phenomenon Attack on Titan, a role he has reprised across the main series, OADs, and compilation films. In the world of Dr. Stone, he provides the voice for Kaseki, the enthusiastic and skilled elderly craftsman, a role he has continued in subsequent series like Dr. Stone: Stone Wars and Dr. Stone: New World. He also voiced the Dwarf Shaman, a core member of the adventuring party, in the series Goblin Slayer and its film Goblin's Crown.
